Street Fighter 6 will release in 2023 with a completely revamped art style and single-player immersive story mode, one that “pushes the boundaries of what a fighting game is” and allows players to create their own avatar. Capcom has now acknowledged the leak in a tweet stating that “we’ve all seen things we weren’t supposed to see” and how it’s appreciative of all the positive reactions, seemingly confirming the validity of the images, including other leaked material that include closed alpha gameplay footage.

Artwork that was leaked online yesterday following Capcom’s official Street Fighter 6 reveal had suggested that the sixth installment of the popular fighting series will feature at least 22 characters within its roster, including all eight original World Warriors from Street Fighter II and other fan favorites such as Cammy and Akuma (Gouki), which were introduced in Super Street Fighter II and Super Street Fighter II Turbo, respectively.
